HGV Class 1 Driver – 4 on 4 off Nights

Position

HGV Class 1 Driver – Seaham depot. Shift: 4 on 4 off nights. Pay: £15.61 per hour up to 39 hours per week + £95.00 weekly shift allowance. Overtime over 39 hours paid at time and a half.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle is legal and roadworthy; complete daily checks and report any defects.
• Confirm correct goods are loaded and secure before departure.
• Perform trunking and multi‑drop deliveries punctually, complying with all legal and driving time regulations.
• Double‑check deliveries with customers, provide polite service, obtain signatures and paperwork before returning to depot.

Qualifications

• Class 1 C+E driving licence.
• Valid in‑date DigiTacho and CPC.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 18 kg.
• Clear communication in English with team members.
