Astro Education is proud to be working in partnership with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Macclesfield to recruit dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistants for roles starting in September.
We have a range of opportunities available, including full‑time, part‑time, long‑term and permanent positions within Early Years settings. Schools are ideally seeking Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants or Early Years Practitioners, although applications from experienced EYFS professionals are warmly welcomed.

About the Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing within the Early Years setting.
Working alongside class teachers and wider EYFS teams, you will help deliver engaging learning activities, encourage positive social development and contribute to a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children’s learning through play‑based and structured activities
- Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
- Encouraging communication, social skills and independence
- Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and development
- Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Observing and recording pupil progress where required
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
What We’re Looking For
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (preferred)
- Have previous experience working within an EYFS setting
- Demonstrate a nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach
- Have a genuine passion for supporting young children’s development
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Be committed to supporting every child to achieve their potential
