Reporting to the General Manager, our Kitchen Managers play a pivotal part in the daily success and running of the restaurant. It’s all about creating a winning team and delivering the best service to our guests.
Kitchen Manager – The Mayflower Harwich – FTC till September
Salary: up to £41,250
Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in recruitment, induction and onboarding of new kitchen team members.
- Demonstrate hands‑on leadership, effective communication, and motivate the team through pre‑shift briefs.
- Manage stock control and food margins.
- Ensure NSF, EHO and Health and Safety audits are met to a high standard.
- Deliver food to spec and brand standards.
- Drive individual high performance through development and regular one‑to‑one meetings.
- Maintain attention to detail and thrive in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
- Show passion for the brand, ensuring the kitchen team is knowledgeable and confident.
- Provide full induction and training to new staff.
- Lead seasonal menu changes, training and launch at Kitchen Academy.
- Work to a labour model that delivers correct management cover.
- Use tools and systems to manage KPIs.

Qualifications
- Experienced Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, Catering Manager or similar.
