We are looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic Primary SEND Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools across the Crawley area from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally in a nurturing environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
- Support children with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and other developmental needs.
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
- Help create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with teachers and SEND staff to support individual learning plans and celebrate every achievement.
We’re Looking For
- A kind, patient and nurturing individual with a genuine passion for supporting young children.
- Experience working with children is desirable, whether in schools, nurseries, childcare, clubs or other supportive settings.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to make a real difference every day.
