7.5 Tonne Driver – Westcott

About the Role

You will work as part of our Depot Team to ensure that all orders are delivered to our customers in line with requirements, ensuring everything arrives in the chef’s kitchen in perfect order.

What You Will Do

  • Drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle to transport orders to customers nationwide.
  • Provide first‑class customer service during delivery, interacting with customers in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Deliver each order as per the delivery instructions, raising any deviations immediately to the Depot team.
  • Use GPS navigation, the order system, and a PDA device.
  • Verify the order against the invoice and report any issues to the Depot Team.
  • Adhere to UK and HGV driving laws at all times.
  • Maintain the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition, following the cleaning schedule.
  • Conduct a daily walk‑round check of the assigned vehicle before departing the depot, raising any roadworthy issues as required.
  • Ensure hygiene standards meet BRC accreditation and our GMP standards.
  • Apply company and statutory Health & Safety, security and emergency procedures.

What You Will Need

  • Full UK driving licence and LGV C1 licence.
  • Driver CPC and Digi Card.
  • Good understanding of UK driving laws, particularly HGV driving laws.
  • Good understanding of GB HGV drivers’ hours rules.
  • Reliability and conscientiousness when working independently.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills to minimise disruption to customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an enthusiastic, can‑do attitude.
