Driver Hire Nottingham are recruiting on behalf of a leading plumbing and heating supplier in Nottingham for a 7.5 Tonne (C1) Driver to join their team on a permanent basis.

Pay & Benefits
Agency Period
- Pay rates start from £13.71 per hour
- Overtime paid daily after 8.5 hours at £20.00 per hour
Permanent Benefits
- 42.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday working pattern

The Role
As the face of the business, you will be delivering plumbing and heating supplies to a variety of trade and commercial customers across Nottingham and the surrounding areas.
This is a relationship-driven role where customer service is just as important as driving ability. You’ll be building rapport with regular customers, ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and representing the company in a professional manner at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a 7.5 Tonne vehicle safely and professionally
- Completing daily vehicle walk-round and safety checks
- Delivering plumbing and heating supplies to customers throughout the local area
- Loading and unloading deliveries where required
- Building strong relationships with customers and providing excellent service
- Ensuring delivery paperwork is completed accurately
- Adhering to all road transport and health & safety regulations
- Representing the company positively at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Valid C1 (7.5 Tonne) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Right to work in the UK
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Professional and reliable approach to work
- Ability to build positive working relationships with customers
- Previous multi-drop or builders merchant experience would be advantageous but is not essential
