London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London’s fire and rescue service, one of the largest in the world. The Community Safety Team supports front-line services across London.
Duties include:
- Liaising with members of the public, other agencies and operational personnel daily.
- Maintaining detailed administrative systems.
- Writing correspondence and using computerised office systems.
- Checking work for errors, producing statistics and dealing with customers.
- Communicating professionally and working effectively as part of a team.
Assessment Overview
Stage 1: Selection criteria
- Experience of using standard computerised office systems and specialised computer databases.
- Experience of organising, planning and prioritising own work; meeting deadlines and targets while working flexibly within a team.
- Ability to communicate with people professionally and helpfully to exchange information and offer advice.
- A thorough understanding of personal responsibility for health and safety practice in the workplace.
