Teaching Assistant – All-Girls Secondary School

East London – Full-Time Long-Term Opportunity – September Start – Competitive Daily Rate

Requirement: Must have a valid Manual Handling Certificate.

We are currently supporting a welcoming and inclusive all-girls secondary school in East London in their search for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.

The Role

• Support students in lessons on a one-to-one, small group, and whole-class basis.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.
• Assist with intimate care where required.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Support students with mobility and physical needs where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting young people in an educational setting.
• Confident carrying out general Teaching Assistant duties.
• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Experience supporting students with additional needs would be advantageous.
