Role Overview
Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Ongoing position in the London borough of Newham.
Social, emotional and cognitive support for students with various SEMH-related needs. Pay range 97 – 115 per day.
Responsibilities
- Support students to develop their social, emotional and cognitive skills.
- Assist in liaising with the class teacher, SENCO and wider community professionals (e.g. Educational Psychologist) to ensure students are on track.
- Help create a progressive and welcoming learning environment.
- Work with students in various year groups with learning disabilities (Autism, ADHD) as well as mental health needs.

The school has a high conversion rate of graduates who started as SEN TAs and now practice as Psychologists (clinical, educational, etc.) and offers regular training, e.g. Safeguarding, SEN Awareness.
Ideal Candidate
- Academic individual holding a degree in a related field.
- Prior experience working with students (ideal but not essential).
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Empathetic, proactive and ambitious (must).
- Aspiring to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counselling or Pastoral Work.
