Coventry University Students’ Union is a charity dedicated to improving the experience of students at the Coventry University Group, operating across 7 campuses in Scarborough, London and Coventry.
We have an opening for a new Coordinator in our Activities team. You would be working to develop and engage our student leaders in our societies, communities, events and campaigns to enhance the university experience for students on our Coventry Campuses. You will be looking at event requests, risk assessments, campaign ideas, motivating our society committees to lead students in high-quality events, and supervising our Community Engagement Lead student staff members to support their communities.

Key duties will include:
- Coordinating, administrating and acting as first point of contact for Coventry University Students’ Union’s societies and communities.
- Developing, growing and promoting the Students’ Union societies and communities with an emphasis on equality, diversity and inclusivity.
- Working with student leaders to deliver key campaigns and activities relevant to the communities such as Black History Month, LGBT History Month, Disability History Month just to name a few.
- Developing and delivering training to student leaders of both communities and societies developing leadership and campaigning skills.
Working hours and Location
This post is permanent working full-time 37.5 hours per week, a flexible approach to working hours is required.
As an organisation we have an agile working programme which allows for some opportunity for working from home. For this role the successful candidate will be required to work on campus in our Coventry office a minimum of 4 days a week during term time, with additional flexibility to meet business need.
Salary Details
The salary is £28,031 – £31,236 per annum.
It is usual to start at the bottom of the grade and will increase incrementally on an annual basis, however for a candidate with highly relevant previous experience an offer may be made within the grade range.
