Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and committed individual to join our Board as a Volunteer (Boardroom Apprentice).

This is a unique opportunity to gain first‑hand experience of board-level decision‑making, governance, and strategic leadership within a public body. The role is designed to widen access to board experience, support greater diversity of thought, and help develop future board leaders specifically to benefit the seafood sector.

What You’ll Do

  • Attend Board and Committee meetings as an observer
  • Engage with Board papers and strategic discussions
  • Contribute perspectives where appropriate
  • Build understanding of governance, risk, and assurance
  • Work alongside an experienced Board mentor
  • Participate in structured learning and development

(Please note: this is a developmental role with no voting rights or legal responsibilities as a Board member.)
