About the role:
Justteachers are working with a Bradford secondary school to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Geography to join its dedicated Humanities faculty. This is a full-time role to commence in September 2026 and will become permanent.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving department that plays a vital role in inspiring students to explore the physical and human landscapes of our world, develop critical thinking skills and foster a deeper understanding of environmental and cultural issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a broad and balanced Geography curriculum aligned with national standards and school values
- Teach to KS4
- Inspire students through creative and inclusive teaching strategies
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
- Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and resource development
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong academic background in Geography or a related discipline
- Proven ability to teach Geography across a range of abilities and age groups
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
- Two school-based references
