Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2 SEND Role

We’re working with a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Kingswood that is looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. About the Role
This is a full-time, long‑term position supporting a pupil in a Key Stage 2 classroom on a 1:1 basis.
The pupil is currently undiagnosed and awaiting an EHCP, so you’ll play a key role in helping shape the support they receive from the very beginning. This is a rewarding position where patience, creativity, and adaptability will make a real difference.
You’ll be helping the child to feel safe, engaged, and confident in the classroom, supporting both their learning and emotional wellbeing.
- Providing consistent 1:1 support within the classroom
- Helping the pupil access learning in a way that works for them
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and family
- Encouraging positive routines, independence, and confidence
- Being a calm, reassuring presence throughout the school day
