Stantec is seeking a Senior BIM Technician to join its Digital Design team in the South‑West region, based in either the Bristol or Exeter offices, and specialising in water sector projects. The role offers the chance to work within a fast‑growing, multi‑disciplinary infrastructure consultancy and to support Digital Delivery across the UK and Ireland.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Regional leadership of the digital design team in the Southwest
- Collaboration with equivalent regional leads across the UK
- Delivery of BIM/CAD deliverables as part of the engineering team
- Management of regional workload plans and delivery deadlines
- Development and mentoring of local Digital Design team members
- Primary point of contact with clients for development, maintenance and delivery of digital deliverables
- Work within Common Data Environments
Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in a Technician or Senior Technician role, or a similar digital delivery position, within the water engineering sector
- Full familiarity with ISO 19650 project delivery
- Extensive experience using Common Data Environments and Data Management Systems such as BIM360 AAC or ProjectWise
- High proficiency in 2D and 3D delivery
- Advanced skills in major 2D and 3D CAD/BIM tools from Autodesk and Bentley
- Experience in project planning, estimating and work‑breakdown schedules
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain delivery across a workload
- Experience mentoring junior colleagues
