Arborist (Team Member Qualified)

Arborist – North Tyneside

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated, experienced individual to join the North Tyneside arboriculture team as a full‑time Arborist.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the council’s tree stock in accordance with the Tree Management Policy and ensure all tree works comply with legislation, industry good practice and British Standards while conserving and enhancing asset value.
• Deal with technical and day‑to‑day enquiries related to trees, woodlands and waggonways across the borough.
• Work as part of a busy team undertaking all aspects of tree works, with opportunities for ongoing development and training.
• Engage with residents in the local community and collaborate proactively with wider team members and external agencies.
• Carry out general pruning, felling and climbing work, working independently, using initiative to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
