Pay Rate: £130-£250 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Experience: Minimum 6 months’ teaching experience in a UK primary school or EYFS setting

Overview

Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a nurturing and forward‑thinking primary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated EYFS Teacher for a full‑time position starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Early Years practitioner to join a supportive school and play a key role in providing children with a positive and engaging start to their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework
  • Plan and provide creative, engaging, and child-centred learning experiences that promote curiosity and development
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment both indoors and outdoors
  • Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress to support their learning and development
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication regarding pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Support children’s personal, social, emotional, and academic development
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues to provide outstanding provision for all learners
  • Attend staff meetings, CPD sessions, and parents’ evenings as required

Ideal Candidate

  • Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching experience within EYFS or a UK primary school setting
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
  • Is passionate about providing high-quality early years education
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Demonstrates creativity, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach to teaching
  • Can build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential
