About the Role
Connex Education is recruiting Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Derby City Centre, Darley Abbey, Chester Green and the wider DE1 area.
Whether you’re looking for flexible day‑to‑day supply, a longer‑term placement, or planning ahead for September, we have opportunities to suit your availability.
Roles are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, with both full‑time and part‑time positions available.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Adapt quickly to different school settings and year groups.
- Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupils’ learning and development.

- Immediate and September 2026 starts available.

Person Specification
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Recent experience teaching within UK primary schools.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A flexible and professional approach.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
All roles are subject to satisfactory background checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
