TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in the Newport area who are looking to appoint a Drama Teacher. The school is committed to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop academically, creatively and personally, supported by a dedicated leadership team and strong community values.
The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Drama Teacher on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start available. The successful Drama Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging student participation, developing performance skills and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Qualifications
- QTS (NQTs are also encouraged to apply)
- Experience teaching Drama within a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Drama curriculum up to Key Stage 4
- Excellent classroom management skills
- The ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging Drama lessons
- A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
