Part‑time Year 5 Teacher (Church of England Primary School, Putney)
Position Details
Part‑time, 2 days per week (Thursday & Friday). Start date: September 2026. Long‑term contract until May 2026.
The Role
This position is for a part‑time Year 5 class teacher, starting in September as a job share (two days per week). You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching across all subjects, assessing learning, and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment.
You will work alongside experienced teachers in the key stage, as well as supportive teaching assistants, with regular opportunities for shared planning and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in the KS2 curriculum.
- Assess pupils’ learning and provide feedback.
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Hold QTS.
- Experience teaching in KS2.
- Ability to demonstrate consistently good or outstanding teaching.
- Good knowledge and experience of the KS2 curriculum and phonics.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- Committed to ensuring all children succeed.
- Organised, hardworking, creative, flexible and committed.
