Year 5 Teacher – September 2026
We are recruiting a temporary Year 5 Teacher for a primary school in Hindley Green (WN2) on a long-term supply basis, starting in September 2026 and running until December 2026.
This role involves working five full days per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am – 16:00 pm. The class contains 28 children, with one full-time TA supporting a SEND child.
Your role & responsibilities
- Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
- Guiding students through the curriculum, marking work, and setting homework tasks
- Managing behaviour
- Upholding the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
Non-negotiables
- Relevant teaching experience
- QTS
- Knowledge of the national curriculum
- Passion and understanding
- Confidence in managing classes of pupils
- Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
- Good communication skills
