Assembly Fitter

Location & Hours

Omagh – 39 hour week (Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 3:45pm, Friday 7:00am – 1:00pm).

What you’ll do

• Follow work instructions and specifications to understand how parts should fit together.
• Assemble components such as metal parts, bearings, pipes, or frames.
• Use hand and power tools (spanners, torque wrenches, drills, grinder, etc.).
• Align and adjust parts to ensure correct fit, movement, and tolerances.
• Install fasteners like bolts, screws, rivets, and pins.
• Check the quality and accuracy of your work.
• Test assembled units to ensure they function correctly.
• Identify and fix faults or assembly issues.

Essential Skills & Qualities

• Ability to read and interpret instructions.
• Good hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• “Can do” attitude.

Desirable Skills

• Experience fitting hydraulics.
• Experience in mechanical fitting.
• Experience in a similar production environment or transferable skills from agriculture, construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or car mechanics.
