Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work in Carlisle.

Pay & Working Hours

Pay is £14.56 – £20.99 per hour, paid weekly. Various shift patterns & adhoc work available with various start times.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE and adherence to health and safety regulations

Ideal Candidate

Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure safety and report defects correctly.

Applicants will comply with on‑site health and safety requirements, understand and comply with driver’s hours and WTD legislation.

Requirements

• Valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC & Tacho cards
• Minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 points, no DD/DR Code convictions
