Motor Vehicle Trainer

Michelle Denny Recruitment is supporting the brilliant training organisation Open Road. Open Road has recently opened their new site in Thetford and is looking for a Motor Vehicle Trainer with real motor trade experience to make a difference to young people.

Salary: £30,000 per annum, working 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm. No teaching qualification required; solid motor vehicle knowledge, patience and a supportive approach are essential.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting young people with hands‑on motor vehicle tasks
• Showing safe, confident workshop techniques
• Helping them understand IMI theory and qualification work
• Building their confidence, skills and belief
• Keeping the workshop positive, structured and safe

What you need

• Motor mechanic experience or a recognised qualification
• A clear, encouraging way of explaining things
• Patience, calmness and strong safety awareness
• Active enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one

The Details

Location: Shadwell Estate, Thetford (occasionally travel to the King’s Lynn site)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm

Salary: £30,000 per year based on 37 hours a week, paid monthly.
