Role: Specialist Support WorkerDay rate: £13.85 per hourWaking night rate: £15.42 per hourSalary: £28,808.00 per annumLocation: Brudenell Road, LeedsHours: Full time, 40 hours per week. Working patterns and hours will include evenings, weekends, and night shifts. Shifts are 12 hours and 15 minutes.
About the role
Our service in Leeds is a supported living service for 4 clients who are deaf with complex needs and/or mental health conditions.

Key qualifications
- Experience or a willingness to learn of working with varying degrees of deafness, including those who are culturally deaf.
- British Sign Language (BSL) or a willingness to learn BSL (full BSL training can be provided).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience or willingness to learn working with people with learning disabilities and/or mental health challenges where the diagnosis is complex and may present challenging behaviour.
- Experience of working or willingness to develop skills in supported living services or residential care services.
- Experience of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or willingness to undertake training.
You will become a key worker to a client, supporting them with independent living skills, emotional support, monitoring of their medication, and where appropriate maintaining safety, privacy and dignity in accordance with CQC regulations and organisation policies and procedures.
