Computing Teacher (Secondary School – Maidstone, Kent)
A dynamic and supportive secondary school in the town of Maidstone is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Computing Teacher to join their team from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator to join a forward-thinking school on a temporary basis from September through to Christmas, with a strong possibility of the role being extended into 2027.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Computing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop essential digital literacy, programming skills, and an understanding of how technology shapes the modern world.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Computing lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
- Develop students’ skills in programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy
- Assess, track and report on student progress accurately and effectively
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Computing/ICT department
- Promote safe and responsible use of technology
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Computing/Computer Science
- Experience teaching in a secondary school environment (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Confidence in teaching programming languages such as Python or similar (desirable)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for inspiring students in STEM and digital skills
