Job summary

The aims of the Transport Service are to provide safe, accessible and efficient transport means to vulnerable people so that they can participate in the services offered by Day Opportunities for vulnerable people throughout North East Lincolnshire and the surrounding area.

Main duties of the job

• Transport service users safely to and from their homes and any venue within the area.
• Provide assistance, supervision and support during transport.
• Ensure all Health & Safety regulations and Road Traffic legislation are adhered to with respect to transportation and vehicle safety.
• Carry out regular vehicle checks and complete associated documentation.

Qualifications

• Hold a D1 driving licence or PSV.
• Have experience working with vulnerable adults with a range of needs.
• Have recent driving experience in the local area.
• Possess knowledge and ability to carry out vehicle checks and complete related documents.
• Demonstrate effective communication and customer care skills.

• Base: Cromwell Road Resource Centre; vehicles located at Westgate Park, Charlton Street Depot, Grimsby.
• Bank hours as and when required: 7:30‑10:30 am and 2:00‑5:00 pm (1:00‑4:00 pm on Fridays).
• Salary: £24,853 pro rata per annum (fixed salary point).
• Contract: Bank.
