A “Good” secondary school in Luton is seeking a passionate French Teacher to join its team from September. Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience welcomed).
  • Develop students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing French.
  • Promote an appreciation of French language and culture through interactive and engaging learning experiences.
  • Plan purposeful and well-structured lessons that stretch and support all learners.
  • Track and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and raise achievement.
  • Create a positive and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider work of the Modern Foreign Languages department.
  • Support enrichment opportunities such as language clubs, cultural events, exchange programmes, or educational trips.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching French in a secondary setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning.
  • The ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Confident classroom management and clear communication skills.
  • A reflective practitioner with a commitment to ongoing development.
