Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience welcomed).
- Develop students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing French.
- Promote an appreciation of French language and culture through interactive and engaging learning experiences.
- Plan purposeful and well-structured lessons that stretch and support all learners.
- Track and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and raise achievement.
- Create a positive and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the wider work of the Modern Foreign Languages department.
- Support enrichment opportunities such as language clubs, cultural events, exchange programmes, or educational trips.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching French in a secondary setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning.
- The ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Confident classroom management and clear communication skills.
- A reflective practitioner with a commitment to ongoing development.
