We are now looking for a Branch Assistant at our Gateshead Branch to contribute to the overall success of the branch.

Working Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30am-3:30pm.

The successful candidate will place a strong emphasis on providing outstanding customer service, work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold consistently high service standards, and take pride in the branch’s upkeep and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the customer database and ensure that information is kept up‑to‑date and accurate.
  • Assist with end‑of‑day banking and reporting.
  • Maintain branch standards in terms of organisation, efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Ensure that customers are kept updated about all relevant information including orders, quotes and promotions.
  • Assist the manager in the collation and delivery of information when requested.
  • Assist customers with all aspects of their account.
  • Accept cash payment from customers in line with Company standard, as and when required.
  • Ensure the understanding and achievement of branch KPI targets as determined by the branch manager.
  • Ensure sufficient knowledge of products on offer as well as any Company or branch promotions.
  • Proactively drive sales and opportunities in branch through prospecting and touching base with existing or lapsed customers.
  • Act as an ambassador of the Company and act accordingly.
  • Act as buddies and mentors to new colleagues, not just in branch but across the Company.
  • Own customer experience from initial enquiry through to installation.
  • Use industry specific software to generate customer quotes.
  • Ensure efficient stock management and avoid any unnecessary storage of goods.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with the Company’s vision.
  • Pick stock and organise loads for dispatch.
  • Ensure compliance with Company procedures and processes.
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Perform any other reasonable instruction.

Qualifications

To demonstrate exceptional customer service abilities, along with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
