Pay: £100.00 – £130.00 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

Start Date: September 2026

Join a supportive specialist school in Rochdale as an SEN Cover Supervisor, where you will not only transform the lives of children with SEND, but also gain valuable hands‑on experience leading classes ideal for those considering a career in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, structured environment.
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt lessons and resources for accessibility.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, or youth work)
• A strong interest in progressing into teaching or education careers
• Knowledge of autism, ADHD, and inclusive support strategies
• Confidence managing behaviour and leading groups of students
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
