Company Description

Founded in August 2012, International Women’s Initiative (IWI) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) working towardsthepromotion ofwomen’s rights and gender equality around the world. We believe that we will achieve this through the creation of volunteer and professional networks and theprovision of a platform for engaging in constructive commentary and ideas-sharing in the field. Funds raisedby the organisation are used to support and resource partnerships with community-basedorganisations or projects. We are currently focusing on advancing our Safe Birthing Programme which seeks to reduce the high levels of maternal mortality in the Amolatar District, Uganda.

Job Description

*PERFORMED REMOTELY*

  • Assist with the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization
  • Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the program and organization
  • Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program
  • Assist with development an annual budget and operating plan to support the program
  • Assist with the program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
  • Collect and analyse data
  • Assist with preparation of materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations
  • Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
  • Attend project meetings
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations

Qualifications

Strong academic background with undergraduate degree. Flexible; possessing the ability to wear different, “hats” on short notice. Commitment to women’s human rights.
