Role Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Teacher who is passionate about improving life chances for all through a professional commitment to making a difference for all our children and young people so that they achieve their full potential. As a Teacher in Fife, you will be responsible for leading learning within your classroom context, promoting inclusion, diversity and equality, communicating with other stakeholders and for contributing to wider improvements across the school community.
Qualifications, Registration and Skill Requirements
- Full General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) registration.
- For posts within primary, fully registered with the GTCS in primary.
- For posts within secondary, fully registered with the GTCS in secondary for the specific subject.
- Model all behaviour expected of a Teacher in Scotland in line with the relevant Professional Standards.
- Full registration is required for all permanent posts. For temporary Class Teacher posts, provisional GTCS registration in the relevant sector will be considered.
- Candidates holding GTCS registration in further education must also hold primary or secondary registration to meet the essential criteria as determined by Fife Council. For teaching specific subjects you must be fully registered with GTCS to teach those subjects.
- Before confirming appointment, obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
