We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in their learning, wellbeing and personal development, working closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role

Working under the direction of the class teacher, you will support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential. You will play an important role in promoting independence, encouraging positive behaviour and ensuring pupils feel safe, valued and included.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with their learning, wellbeing and personal care needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and preparing classroom resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion for all pupils.
  • Help monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Support literacy, numeracy and other curriculum activities.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks, educational visits and school activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and other professionals.
  • Use Team Teach de-escalation and positive handling strategies in line with training.
