Class 2 HGV Driver
Reporting to: Transport Manager
As the face of First Fence, our drivers play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be the final touchpoint, ensuring customers receive a 5-star service consistently. This role requires flexibility to operate both our HGV and 7.2T vehicles, depending on delivery requirements.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate collection/delivery of products throughout the UK.
- Responsible and accountable for daily vehicle checks.
- Responsible for basic maintenance of equipment to ensure roadworthy at all times (bulbs, oil top up etc, all parts are provided)
- Report any defects on any equipment that you are using to your line Manager.
- Follow and comply with all Health and Safety practices, policies, procedures and relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Correct paperwork to be completed accurately and handed to office as soon as possible.
- All errors relating to quality and quantity are to be raised immediately to your line Manager.
- Undertake any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.

- You have good geographic skills, with a strong knowledge of UK roads.

- You are flexible with start and finish times dependent on business requirements.
- You are a great team player, helping colleagues to complete their tasks when required.

- You communicate well to colleagues and customers alike.
- You ensure errors, customer feedback and leads are given to your line Manager promptly.
- You have great care and attention to detail.
- You have good numeracy and literacy skills, including written English.
- You remain calm in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- You observe and comply with Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety procedures. All employees are responsible for Health and Safety of
