We are looking for a Caretaker with a positive outlook to join our staff team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to contribute to creating a safe, well‑maintained, and effective learning environment for students, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Site maintenance and repairs, including regular site inspections.
  • Health and safety compliance, adhering to guidelines and maintaining accurate records.
  • Security – opening and closing the school site, monitoring access and responding to any emergencies (out of hours and weekend work in exceptional circumstances).
  • Assisting with furniture moves, room setups for events, and cleaning, as well as supervising the cleaning team.
  • Seasonal tasks, including clearing leaves, snow and ice to ensure safe walkways and carrying out premises and grounds checks.

Qualifications

  • Has experience working in a maintenance role.
  • Is practical, with a hands‑on approach to site maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Has knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Is flexible and proactive, with good problem‑solving skills.
  • Is a team player who values working collaboratively to support the school’s needs.
  • Has knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality protocols.
