BARTENDER / THE READ HOUSE

What You Will Do

  • Craft Dazzling Drinks: Mix, pour, and garnish a wide range of classic and modern cocktails, beer, and wine for our bar guests and servers.
  • Deliver Exceptional Service: Delight our guests with timely, positive service and extreme attention to detail.
  • Maintain the Magic: Keep the bar impeccably clean, well‑stocked, and highly organized to streamline service.
  • Handle the Business: Manage POS entries, abide by cash handling procedures, and conduct inventory counts when needed.
  • Support the Team: Complete side work such as polishing and rolling silverware, setting amenities, and assisting with lounge service.

What You Will Bring

  • 1 to 3 years of bartending experience (preferred).
  • A strong grasp of classic and modern cocktail recipes, as well as an understanding of beer and wine varieties.
  • Stellar communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
  • Proficiency with restaurant POS systems and inventory applications.
  • A valid TABC Server Permit, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Availability on Fridays and Saturdays evenings is a must.
  • Ability to thrive and multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, sometimes exceeding 8 hours.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 30 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
