To cGBP28,450 + premium hours rates, overtime and benefits (realistic 1st year OTE : GBP32k+). Location: Derby. Our Derby based client is renowned as a market leader in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems and offering a range of highest quality services that encompass Project Management and Implementation, Consultancy and Software Development to blue chip clients worldwide. As a result of continued success and an ongoing planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit Systems Support Technician professionals to complement their established and successful team of electrical and controls engineers.
Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance, design and modification of existing SCADA, PLC and associated subsystems.
- Planning, procuring, maintaining and reporting over a wide range of sites and subsystems.
- Providing 24‑hour emergency call out availability across sites nationwide.
- Diagnosing and problem‑solving whilst delivering highest levels of customer service at all times.
- Design, implementation and testing of control/integrated systems.
- Programming a variety of PLCs using Ladder Logic, Function Block or Statement List methods.
- Programming and configuring SCADA software packages.
- Using programming languages ranging from C, C++, C#, VB and VBA.
- Undertaking IP network design and configuration and the design and test of ELV electrical panels.
- Travelling throughout the UK, working nights on a regular basis, and maintaining a full UK driving licence and valid passport.
- Maintaining security clearances required by airport authorities.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level C and G or HNC or above in a relevant electrical, electronic or IT related discipline.
- Ability to obtain security clearance to allow working at UK airports.
- Eligibility to work in the UK with immediate effect.
- Willingness to relocate at short notice to the East Midlands region.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and work nights on a regular basis.
Training and Development
Full training will be provided to practical candidates who have some experience or interest in engineering and technology and who enjoy diagnosing and problem solving whilst delivering highest levels of customer service at all times.
