Position: Care Worker • Location: Various sites across Nottinghamshire • Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Permanent • Salary: Competitive, based on experience.

Job Overview

Duties

  • Assisting with personal care
  • General light domestic duties
  • Assisting with cooking of light meals, preparing snacks and providing beverages
  • Carrying out tasks as specified in the service user’s individual service/care plan
  • Transporting service users to local amenities and medical appointments
  • Contributing to accurate and detailed record‑keeping while maintaining the service
  • Communicating effectively with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies
  • Ensuring adherence to CQC regulations and company policies
  • Ensuring residents receive the highest possible quality of care and support, monitoring general health and reporting any concerns
  • Completing and maintaining accurate care records
  • Administering prescribed medicines in accordance with the care plan

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in home care or a similar setting preferred
  • Care certification
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or commitment to complete training)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Computer literate for documentation and reporting
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
  • Familiarity with care plans and home care practices is beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Satisfactory DBS check
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
