Pay: £460-£650 per week (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time / Part-time, Day-to-day / Long-term

GSL Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join welcoming schools in Doncaster. We are seeking a proactive and supportive teacher who can work alongside teachers, encourage student participation, and help create a positive learning environment where every learner can thrive.

The Teaching Assistant (TA) has an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and well-organised classroom activities
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day
  • Assist with preparing learning materials and maintaining an organised classroom
  • Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to teaching staff when required
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative school team
  • Patient, reliable, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
  • Committed to promoting safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
