HGV Class 1 Driver (Nights)

Job Overview

Full‑time HGV Class 1 Driver (Nights) based in Gloucester. Pay £17.71 per hour. Start Monday night through Friday night, with potential rosters into Saturday morning. The role involves scheduled deliveries and collections for a national client.

Shift Times

20:00 – 01:00 (start Monday night to Friday night, in to Saturday morning). Ongoing assignment with consistent night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate independently to deliver goods during night shifts.
• Transport goods safely, efficiently and in compliance with legal and company standards.
• Perform scheduled routes including full pallet deliveries using curtain‑side vehicles; perform tail‑lift and pallet‑truck operations where required.
• Distance runs available; handle forklift or trailer swaps as needed.

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 1 (C E) licence.
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Over 21 years of age (insurance purposes).
• No more than 9 penalty points for minor endorsements.
• Positive, professional and customer‑focused attitude.
• Clean and tidy vehicle maintenance.
• Successful completion of company induction, theory assessment, vehicle checks, driving assessment and reversing test.
