GSL Education are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join vibrant schools in Newcastle. We would like to hear from a dedicated professional who can provide effective classroom support, encourage student engagement, and work collaboratively with teaching staff to create positive learning experiences.
The Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) will support students academically, socially, and emotionally while contributing to a productive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
- Provide targeted support to students with varying learning needs
- Assist with preparing classroom resources and maintaining organised learning spaces
- Encourage positive behaviour, participation, and confidence in learning
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to learning support
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
