Class 1 HGV Driver

Overview

Pertemps North Midlands is recruiting a Class 1 HGV Driver for a client based near Kegworth. The position offers full‑time temporary or permanent contracts with a salary range of £18.75 to £28.12 per hour.

Working Hours & Pay

Shift patterns include 4 on 4 off, weekdays, or weeknights. Each shift guarantees a minimum of 9.6 paid hours. Overtime beyond 9.6 hours is paid at the rates below.

• Nights – £18.75 per hour
• Nights OT (after 9.6 hours) – £28.12 per hour
• Days – £16.38 per hour
• Days OT (after 9.6 hours) – £24.57 per hour

Responsibilities

• Trunk goods around the UK with no handball required
• Perform trailer swaps and backloads
• Maintain a clean driving record and professional appearance

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 licence held for at least six months
• Current tacho and DQC card
• Positive, can‑do attitude
