KS2 SEN Teacher – Autism Provision | Lambeth

Salary: £206-£260 per day (dependent on experience) | Location: Lambeth, South London | Contract: Full-time, Long-term to Permanent | Start Date: September 2026

At Pertemps Education, we are proud to be partnering with a highly supportive and well-resourced autism provision in Lambeth to recruit an exceptional KS2 SEN Teacher.

This specialist setting supports primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication and learning needs. The provision offers small class sizes, excellent staffing ratios, and access to a multidisciplinary team, creating an environment where pupils can thrive both academically and socially. Lambeth is home to a number of specialist autism resource bases and provisions designed to support pupils with EHCPs and autism diagnoses.

The Role

As the KS2 SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a structured, nurturing classroom environment that promotes communication, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
  • Develop and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
  • Use autism-friendly strategies, visual supports, and sensory-informed approaches to maximise pupil engagement.
  • Assess, monitor, and celebrate pupil progress across academic, social, and emotional outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching KS2 pupils, ideally within an SEN or autism-focused setting.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of autism and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
