Trainee Sales Associate
Aegon Asset Management is a leading global investor. Our employees work from 13 locations across Europe, the Americas and Asia. We advise on assets for a global client base of pension plans, public funds, insurance companies, banks, wealth managers, family offices and foundations.
Key responsibilities
- Support the International Sales team in managing client relationships across EMEA and APAC, including building contact lists and sourcing new opportunities
- Assist with client servicing and enquiries, ensuring timely, professional responses
- Maintain accurate records of sales and marketing activity using internal systems
- Act as a key link between Sales and internal teams (e.g. Product, Marketing, Investment Specialists) to support sales initiatives
- Assist in the creation of sales materials and client communications
- Support the planning and delivery of client events, including invitations, logistics, and follow-up
- Build strong working relationships internally and contribute to team meetings and sales activity
- Develop knowledge of AAM products and investment markets
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and adopt a client-first approach in all activities
Qualifications
- Strong interest in financial services and investment markets
- Desire to build technical knowledge of investment funds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships both internally and externally
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
