Customer Delivery Driver – Falkirk Vf Northern

Availability Window

• Sunday: 17:00 – 23:00
• Tuesday: 19:00 – 23:00
• Wednesday: 16:00 – 23:00
• Thursday: 10:00 – 16:00
• Saturday: 16:00 – 23:00

Pay starts from £14.18 per hour and increases to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. A minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week is offered; a minimum of 12 hours is also possible.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy and organized.
• Keep the back yard clean and clear of rubbish, picking up litter as necessary.
• Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
• Load the van as required and check the van for roadworthiness.
• Communicate changes to customers, including short‑code items and substitutions, and offer refunds for unsatisfactory items.
• Treat products and deliveries with care as if they were your own.
• Explain to customers that substitutions will not incur additional charges.
• Deliver during the customer’s designated time slot.
• Call the customer before arriving if early.
• Call the store if running 30 minutes or more late.
• Build relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
• Maintain a warm, welcoming attitude and say “Thank you”.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change.
• Share ideas with the manager and colleagues to improve service.
• Integrate home and work to achieve a balanced life.

Qualifications

• Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence (automatic or manual) with at least 12 months of experience.
• Driving record with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Ability to adhere to GB domestic driving rules.
