Key Responsibilities
- Ensure van and trays are clean and kept tidy/organised.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and litter‑free back‑yard.
- Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
- Load van as required and check roadworthiness.
- Communicate with customers about order changes, code items, substitutions and offer refunds where appropriate.
- Handle products and deliveries with care as if they were your own.
- Explain that no extra charges will apply for substitutions.
- Deliver during the customer‑specified time slot.
- Call the customer before arrival if early.
- Call the store/centre if delayed by 30 minutes or more.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and help our store serve customers best.
- Treat customers and colleagues with warmth and respect, saying thank you and listening to their needs.
- Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
- Share ideas with the manager and colleagues to improve the store for customers.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Full or Automatic UK/EU/EEA driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Compliance with GB Domestic Driving Rules.
Working Hours and Flexibility
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week to new colleagues. Individuals wishing to work fewer hours are encouraged to apply – a minimum of 12 hours is possible. We support flexible working and will schedule your contracted hours within the availability windows above, providing 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts.
