Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Internal Sales role based in Bristol. The Senior Internal Sales team member will handle inbound and outbound sales calls, prepare quotations, process orders, and provide product advice and support to customers in the electrical trade. The role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and working closely with external sales and purchasing teams to ensure stock availability and timely delivery. The individual will contribute to achieving branch sales targets, maintain accurate records in the CRM and order systems, and support the maintenance of pricing and margin controls. Day-to-day responsibilities also include mentoring junior team members, assisting with product training, and helping improve internal sales processes and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to adapt style to different customer and colleague needs.
  • Proven customer service skills, with experience handling enquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a professional, solutions-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated sales experience, ideally in internal sales or account management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in sales management or team support, including mentoring, coaching, or training less-experienced colleagues.
  • Ability to deliver or support product and sales training, sharing knowledge of electrical products and applications with team members and customers.
  • Good understanding of electrical wholesale or related technical products is highly desirable.
  • Comfort using CRM and ERP/order processing systems, with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced branch environment.
  • Previous experience in an electrical wholesaler or similar distribution business is essential.
