About the role

The shift lead pays from £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, with roles from 12 hours also available.
Please note that you must be 18 years or older to apply. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least three weeks’ notice of your shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team to deliver a great experience for customers in‑store.
- Work across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operational queries.
- Build positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
- Confidently lead the store in the manager’s absence.
- Make balanced, flexible decisions and adapt well to change.
- Coach colleagues, give feedback and role‑model great service.
- Stay curious and seek opportunities to serve customers, communities, and the planet a little better every day.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
- Build positive, long‑lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.
- A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
- A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.
