Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Internal Sales Team Leader to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage enquiries, queries and orders received via e‑mail, telephone or CRM. In the absence of the office manager, ensure the work is actioned, logged or processed ASAP and placed in the appropriate order/quote folders.
  • Check work of new starters and other colleagues for value over £3,000 or when the colleague is unsure whether the work is correct.
  • Liaise with different departments to support the business and customers (internal and external).
  • Run four daily reports at the end of the day for all external reps where required.
  • Liaise with external sales engineers daily to sort out enquiries or customer requirements.
  • Step in to the role of office manager when the manager is absent; supervise all internal sales office staff.
  • Take a proactive approach to customer enquiries; sort all work and ensure it is actioned, logged in the KPIs and placed in the quotes/order folders.
  • Report outstanding orders and delays to the Sales Director and External Sales Team on behalf of the manager when required.
  • Update KPIs on a daily basis – ensuring they are all correctly formatted for datapull throughput.
  • Apply technical understanding of products to help with triage or colleague questions.
  • Raise quotations via Stock2004 / CRM.
  • Enter orders/quotes via Stock2004 / CRM.
  • Review pricing on special items and basic quotes if they do not align with industry standards.
  • Support Level 1 teams – drive improvement within the team and the wider business.
  • Manage multiple inboxes when required.
  • Conduct coaching reviews for other Level 1 teams and support these departments where possible.
  • Resolve any issues raised by internal or external customers, signposting to the relevant department when necessary.
