Overview

Wotton‑Under‑Edge, Gloucestershire – Break operates over 50 charity shops across East Anglia and the West Country. The income from these shops supports services for children, young people and families.

Position

Relief Retail Assistant Manager – support shop managers in covering days off and holidays, including occasional weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to maximise income.
• Source and merchandise stock.
• Manage a team of volunteers and staff.
• Handle cash and perform basic bookkeeping.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming shop environment.

Working Conditions

The role involves significant physical activity and heavy lifting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Great people skills and ability to thrive in a busy environment.
• Experience managing volunteers or retail staff.
• Understanding of cash handling and retail operations.
• Ability to meet health and safety standards.

Compensation & Hours

Salary: £12.74 per hour. Hours: as required – the role may close at short notice and without prior warning.
