Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker

Job Summary

Personal Assistant for a young man living in Wells, NR23. Pay of £13.50 per hour, up to 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Support personal care.
• Manage household tasks such as laundry, maintaining a safe and habitable home, cooking, cleaning and meal/drink preparation.
• Administer medication.
• Assist with gardening, cooking, and caring for chickens.
• Use the car to transport the individual to activities and appointments (driver will be added to insurance).
• Help ensure the individual can live safely and independently at home.

Personal Specification

• Essential: Reliable, trustworthy, practical, enjoys hands‑on varied tasks, not afraid to get hands dirty.
• A particle assistant with energy, fresh ideas and initiative.
• A full clean driving licence and willingness to drive the car.
• Desirable: Experience in personal care, or skills in other related areas.

Terms and Conditions

• Hourly rate of £13.50.
• Hours negotiated, with a requirement for four visits per day between 7:30 am and 9:30 pm. Visits may be split between multiple PAs.
• Annual holiday entitlement equivalent to five and a half consecutive weeks of work.
• Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.

Additional Information

• Satisfactory enhanced DBS check (cost covered by employer).
• Completion of a satisfactory 6‑month probation period.
